Ruskin MFA 2021 presents: leftovers
various live and digital events across June

leftovers is a series of live public events, 11-24 June: seminars, picnics, and a launch for this website. Our guests include Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, Ghislaine Leung, Paul Maheke, The White Pube, and you!! Everything except the picnics is on Zoom; see individual event pages below for registration and further details.

Across June we lead a series of seminars which were conversational spaces focused on a couple of MFAs alongside the guest artist in each session. These were seminars to share appetising leftovers, fresh beginnings, and difficulties between as practitioners, related to our degree show timeline and beyond. Encouraging interaction from the public, these free-flowing discussions aimed to play with the traditional frameworks of a seminar, artist talk, or crit. The seminars were punctuated by our proposal for in-person localised picnics, which anyone could lead, anywhere in the world. All of these events lead up to our pixelmeat website launch, featuring a live conversation with The White Pube about degree shows followed by a website walk-thru led by surprise special guests.
